When Allegiant Stadium was initially proposed, computer renderings showed a modern stadium with a nearly clear roof that allowed sunlight to shine through. However, as stadium development progressed, the roof design shifted from a more clear design, like the one used at SoFi Stadium, to a more opaque design. The roof still allows some light through, but inside Allegiant Stadium on a bright day feels more like a cloudy atmosphere than a sunny one. The good news for shade-seeking fans is that finding shaded seats is not much of a concern. The translucent dome means that every seat is functionally shaded!
