Hi, I’m Rob, and I want to help you find a seat in the shade for your favorite team’s upcoming game.

Greetings from summer down under at the Australian Open (in a shaded seat, of course)!
I love professional sports. My favorites are baseball, soccer, and tennis, all of which are primarily outdoor sports played in the summer. Over the years, I’ve learned that the difference between enjoying a game and a sweltering under the hot sun comes down to strategically choosing your seat.
Back in 2018, I wrote a blog post for my other website about how to find shaded seats at a single MLB ballpark. To my surprise, that post was extremely popular and I realized that shaded seat information is in high demand.
A year later I launched ShadedSeats.com, and I’m proud that the site now features over 100 stadiums across four countries. I’ve personally researched every single venue, and individually created every sun map graphic you’ll find on the site.
This is truly a passion project. I know tickets to professional sports events can be expensive. They are a special treat for many, including me. My goal is to help everyone have the best possible experience, starting with finding a comfortable seat in the shade.
One more thing: I hate websites cluttered with display ads and pop-ups begging for your email address, so you won’t find any of that here. To help cover the costs of running the site and adding new content, I include links to ticketing platforms like Ticketmaster and SeatGeek. If you use these links to buy tickets, I earn a small commission, but there’s absolutely no obligation to use them.
If you’d like to contact me with a comment, suggestion, contribution, or just to say hello, you can do so here. If you’d like to send thanks directly you are welcome to buy me a coffee using the button below.
